Enjoying the silence of the nature

Quite often it happens that, the plans we make do not really match with the reality. It was the case of last week-end. The weather was supposed not to be friendly and the plan was to stay at home and do some work around the house. Well… we did completely the opposite and I can say it was the best not matching situation since long time.

Instead of cleaning, ordering stuff in the basement, do the yearly tax refund calculation, we spent almost three days in the middle of the nature, literally enjoying the silence, the colours of the sunset and some good conversations.

Most of the time we are all doing a lot of stuff, running left and right solving problems and forgetting to talk to the ones living close to us, like 1 m far away. If this habit continues too long, we might end up loosing the connection to each other and literally living separate lives under the same roof. I think nobody wants to reach that point, and it is better to prevent it, every one in their own way.

But this was not the idea of our week-end. We just wanted far away from the noise :). The three days spent only the two of us (and millions of ants :D) were the most relaxing days we had in a while. We started on Saturday evening, did a three hours hike and reached our camping place around 20:30 o’clock. After installing the tent, we took our sleeping sacks, a bottle of wine and sat outside looking at the nature changing its colours during the sunset.

It was amazing to enjoy the silence together and talk about past, present and future, opening up about everything. We literally forgot about ourselves until we observed that our sleeping sacks were frozen a bit and the clock showed 01:45 AM.

The second day we were supposed to do the Blauberg Überschreitung, but we didn’t. We decided to enjoy the silence one more day, far away from any distractions.

Just silence

We just did a two hours hike to the Blaubergalm to eat a Kaiserschmarrn and the rest of the day was spent in the “dolce far niente” trance. The result was a complete reset of the mind.

On the way to Kaiserschmarrn

The third day we went down when everyone else hiked up :)). We wouldn’t be ourselves if we wouldn’t do something a bit different.

I honestly recommend everyone to loose their handys and connection to social media from time to time and appreciate the company of the closed ones. Our mind is so busy every day, let’s help it relax by just feeding it with simple things, nice conversations and a good wine.

Cheers !
