Enjoy life! This is what I do every day, at least I try. Of course it’s easier when you are on holidays and don’t have to work, but the beauty is to make every day as good as you can imagine. After a hard day in the office, the best I can do in order to wind the stress out of my body is to go directly to the mountains for a trail run! Knowing this already in the morning boosts my motivation even at work and fosters my creativity throughout the day!

Being out in nature, let it be a hike or a trail run, enables me to fully calm down and be 100% myself. This is also one of my drivers for joy: I do as much as possible sequentially and not in parallel! Thus, I can fully focus on the now and live in the dream! On the other side, planning and thinking about goals is an essential part for me as well. I can study maps and plan routes for hours without getting bored, in contrast, I get more and more excited. Sometimes I find a small chapel or a fountain somewhere on the map and I already imagine how it might look like and can’t wait to get there in reality. Exploring the smallest paths, the most unknown summit or a secret paradise is a major driver for even more difficult and crazy ideas. I cannot realise everything, life is too short, but I select the most appealing ones and the ones which are compatible with my family and work.

I am a physicist, which reflects my curiosity about nature and the ambition to understand some of the wonders which mother earth provides us. I am also believing in God, being around us to guide and protect our life. This believe I mostly express by having moments of praying and talking to God when I am in a chapel or a church. Especially during trail runs and hikes I love those breaks in the mountain chapels. I am so thankful to have my lovely wife Alexandra at my side and two wonderful boys who keep us busy all the time. Life is amazing! It’s an honour to be on this planet and having the chance to explore, love and reflect the beauty of nature. Check out our blog if you want to find out more about the four adventurers from the Mountain Dreamers 🙂

That’s me on the way up to Heniul Mare in Romania, the “house mountain” of my wife’s childhood village. This run I did in July 2023 together with Alexandra while her parents were taking care of our children 🙂
