Why …
Writing ?
I felt the need of writing again for a long time. But I just didn’t start doing it. Why ? A lot of excuses can be found if really needed. Honestly, no idea, there was always something else.
I was told that I spread positive vibes somehow (even in the business meetings on Mondays :)) ). So why not spreading them all over the Internet ? Joking :).
I just hope that by writing here and there few of my thoughts, someone will be helped to find answers to their questions, to push themselves on the progress path, to gain trust in their own forces, to move forward step by step, to become more positive.
I usually think with my heart and I let myself guided by my gut feeling. So I think most of the stuff I will put here into some posts will come from deep inside myself and will be based on my experiences.
Trail Running ?
Most probably there will be a lot of posts with trail running, nature, mountains. And this is because trail running helped me understand a lot of things and I almost always can correlate a situation from my life with what happens on the trails.
- We all can do more than we think we are capable of
- When we think we cannot continue anymore, we are just at the half of our batteries
- Taking it slowly, step by step and deeply breathing, we will reach the top (whatever the top means for everyone, it doesn’t matter)
- Fighting against the brain when it says “STOP” and winning against it by moving further to the finish line, is the best victory one can get. And finish line can be whatever: a contest finish line, deadline of a hard project, shitty time in our lives. Just keep on going !
- Not everything is easy and comes for free – there is a lot of work involved sometimes
- We don’t necessarily need to be better than the others, we just have to be or become better for us
- Not everything goes according to the plan. That is the moment when we have to adapt, learn and grow.
- It is hard not knowing what comes, what to expect (sometimes very hard). This needs a lot of patience.
- Sport just makes us healthier, stronger, happier
- Nature is so beautiful and it recharges our batteries if we let it
- Etc.
We all have the desire to do something that makes us and others proud of ourselves. We all want to have it validated that we can do “IT”, whatever that “IT” is. We all need to feel that we are good at something.
Somehow trail running makes me feel grateful that I can do this, even if I am not the best. I am good enough for me, I could see the progress, I grew as a person, became more courageous and increased my self esteem. I learned to have patience, do everything step by step and if I keep moving, no matter how slowly, I will reach my finish line/top/goal.
I just hope that some of the posts that will follow, will inspire and motivate you to find your goal and step by step move to reach it. Everything is possible !
